Founding 100: how the program works, what's locked in, and why we're capping it
We're picking 100 teams for a $3/seat price locked for two years, free migration, direct founder access, and a permanent 20% discount after. Here is exactly how the program works.
This is the public record of the Founding 100 program. If you join, this is what you get. If you don't, this is what closes when we hit the cap.
The deal, in three lines
$3 per seat per month, locked for 24 months. Most teams in our category pay $10 to $19 per seat. You pay $3. The lock survives any public price change.
Permanent 20% discount when the lock ends. When month 25 starts, you don't jump to list price. You stay at 20% under whatever the public price is, forever, as long as the account is active.
Direct line to me, the founder, for two years. Not a support inbox. My phone. Use it when something matters.
What "100 teams" actually means
One team is one company. The seat count inside that team can be 6 to 30 — the Founding price applies to every seat on the account at the locked rate. If you grow from 12 to 28 during the lock window, those new seats are still $3.
We picked 100 because it's the size where I can personally know every account. Above that, the founder-access promise becomes a marketing line, and I'm not willing to make a promise I can't keep.
Free migration from Hubstaff, Time Doctor, Clockify, or anyone else
Hand us a CSV export or a login. We map your users, projects, and time history into Kordano. You start where you left off — no "double-tracking week," no manual rebuilding.
What you get on day one
Time tracking with daily timeline, idle detection (configurable, not punishing), and review screens. Screenshots, optional. Attendance, scheduling, leave tracking. Payroll close with export-ready reporting. The full bundle, included.
You also get bring-your-own-storage on the Scale plan. If your team needs screenshot data to live on your own AWS, GCP, or Azure, it can. No upcharge.
When the program closes
When the 100th team joins. After that, the price returns to $5 for the Team plan, no founding lock, no founder line.
The Founding 100 closes once. We are not running it again.
What we promise in return
Reply within an hour during US/EU business hours, six days a week, for the first year. Every-other-week email with what we shipped, what we broke, what's next. A real human, by name, for any question that matters.
If we don't hold up our end, you walk away with everything you've put in. No exit fees, no lock-in, full data export. The contract is your safety net, not ours.

May changelog: bring-your-own-storage, configurable idle, and a calmer review screen
What we shipped in May 2026. The headline: bring-your-own-storage (AWS/GCP/Azure) is live on the Scale plan, idle thresholds are configurable per role, and the daily review screen is half its old visual weight.

Kordano vs Hubstaff: an honest comparison for remote teams
Hubstaff has been the default time tracker for remote teams for a decade. Here is where it still wins, where it overshoots, and the kind of team Kordano fits better.

Idle detection without punishing deep work
Idle thresholds work for repetitive desk work and fight against people who think. Here is the difference, and what to change in the policy so the timer respects both.
