Common
questions.
Should I set a budget in hours or money?
Choose hours to track how much time a project uses. Choose cost to track how much it costs. The budget percentage, warnings, and chart use the type you choose.
How does Kordano work out team costs?
Each person’s tracked hours on the project are multiplied by their hourly rate. If someone has no pay profile, Kordano uses the rate in the project budget and calls it the budget rate. If a needed rate is missing, the cost view shows a message and a dash instead of an incomplete total.
Does Cost to date include expenses?
Yes. Cost to date adds the team’s labor cost to the project’s recorded expenses. Each expense has a description, amount, and currency. You can also add a date and note.
Is planned profit the same as final profit?
No. Planned profit is the project fee minus the cost you expect when setting the budget. The margin shows that profit as a percentage of the fee. These are estimates, not payments received or the project’s final profit.
What does the budget percentage mean?
It shows how much of the chosen budget has been used. An hours budget compares tracked hours with planned hours. A cost budget compares the cost so far with planned costs. The percentage does not show how much of the work is finished.
Is this a full project management tool?
Kordano helps you organize projects and tasks, choose who can track time, and review project hours and budgets. It does not include boards, invoicing, or rules that make one task wait for another, as a full project management tool does.
